We’ll provide a tow-in service to the nearest approved dealership (if under warranty), storage facility, repair centre or panel beater in the event of accident damage up to a limit of R1,850.00 (incl. VAT).

Please note:

• This benefit is regarded as an insurance related risk management service, and both ValueBüddy and you acknowledge the importance of this service to the insurer.
• This service must be active to ensure that you will be covered fully under your insurance policy (if the arrangement with your insurer requires an active ValueBüddy membership as part of the insurance policy’s terms and conditions

If your vehicle needs to be towed to a repairer, we’ll arrange for the occupants of the vehicle (up to a maximum of two people) to be transported to a nominated destination, if the breakdown has occurred within a 40 km radius of your normal place of residence.

If the breakdown has occurred outside a radius of 100 km from your normal place of residence, resulting in an overnight delay, we’ll arrange hotel accommodation for you and the rest of the vehicle occupants (up to a maximum of four people).

The cost is covered up to a limit of R500.00 (incl. VAT.) under your ValueBüddy membership;

If you would prefer to continue with your journey immediately, instead of opting for the hotel accommodation benefit, we’ll arrange for a rental car to enable you to reach your destination. This is subject to you qualifying for a rental vehicle in terms of the car rental company’s general terms and conditions.

The incurred costs will be limited to rental charges; delivery and collection of the hire vehicle, and the car must be surrendered on arrival at your destination. Cover up to R500 (incl. VAT.) and subject to availability.

In the event of your vehicle being left for repairs, we will pay up to R500 (incl. VAT.) for a 24-hour, Group B car rental or a flight ticket to collect the vehicle after repairs.

Alternatively, should your vehicle have been towed to a dealership closer to your place of residence, we will supplement the additional tow cost in lieu of the car rental cost.

The overall limit of the aforementioned benefits is capped at R5 000 (incl. VAT) per annum per membership and:

• The benefits exclude all vehicles over 3 500kg.
• As a Büddy you won’t be entitled to service where the vehicle is not in a roadworthy condition.
• Any costs incurred through arrangements made by you without prior authorisation shall not be reimbursed.
• The benefit will only be rendered in South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland.
